The type of activity we are seeking funding for is the purchasing and delivering of food and other essentials, such as toiletries, nappies, baby food via our volunteer drivers. This will be achieved by aiding those families who come directly to the charity and those whose needs have been recognised by local community groups by way of numerous referrals. Hence, during this pandemic, providing a direct drop off service will be a vital link in getting food/necessities from A to B. Families will struggle to maintain any type of normality and obtaining food, if not already will become a concern for many families, particularly those who for one reason or another are housebound. Therefore, working alongside the community, we can not only help in obtaining and delivering those vital food supplies and consequently, having over 9 years’ experience within the local communities, supporting vulnerable families/children/elderly by way of purchasing and supplying food, clothing, and small household items. Sunshine Wishes Childrens Charity is accomplished, well placed and have both the man power and knowledge to ensure those most vulnerable are helped. We have already established a working relationship within the local community, having the recognition, foundations, and experience necessary to ensure the supplies get to the correct people. Through this pandemic we have come together with many organisations working closely with one another in the community all looking to achieve the same objective in trying to ease the financial burden and pressures that this pandemic has brought. We are receiving referrals on a daily basis ranging from emergencies ( children under protection ) to families on zero to low income, vulnerable and the elderly.
