    Story

We have started this funding page with the aim of covering as many of the funeral costs for the family and friends of Stu McClung who tragically passed away on Saturday 2nd November in his home town of Colchester, UK.

Below is the public post made by Stu's partner Vic and sister Kelly about the tragedy.

"As many of you already know, at the weekend, Stu was taken away from us.

To Kelly, he was not only her big brother, but her first friend, her shoulder to cry on, and someone who was always there for her. He was not just Vic's partner, but her best friend as well. She was his little Mog.

Stu was a gentle giant who had so many wonderful friends, who he loved and cared about like an extended part of his family.

A talented musician, as guitarist in the New Town Kings, Stu had a platform to share his music with others - the thing he was most passionate about.

Stu had been working at Essex County Council in the adult social care department and was looking forward to starting his training to become a social worker so he could help others.

Unfortunately, Stu and Kelly's mum Jean has been gone for 7 years, but she was an amazing mother who loved him very much. Stu grew up with her playing punk and reggae, which clearly had a massive influence on him wanting to be a musician.

Mother and son were the two most laid back hippys you would ever know and love, and they are now reunited with each other."

Stu's friendship reached so far and wide and this tragedy has left a giant hole in so many hearts. If even half the people that knew Stu could donate just something then I'm sure we can give him the send off that he deserves.

I only knew Stu through work but he was always pleasant and had a smile and 'hello'. Taken under such tragic circumstances is so very sad. Hope he is playing music 'in the sky' x
