Story
It's been almost six months since losing my Dad to an undiagnosed heart condition and with my birthday approaching next month and the celebration of what would have been his 50th the month after, I felt led to do something for the cause.
So this May I will be facing my fears (yikes) and jumping out of my comfort zone to do a Sponsored Skydive!
I am collaborating with Tandem Skydiving for Charity and the sponsorship money raised will be for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), who strive to prevent all young sudden cardiac death through raising awareness, heart screening, medical research, and supporting affected families. As a young person who so unexpectedly lost a parent to a genetic condition causing sudden cardiac death, it's a cause very close to home and dear to my heart. Using this challenging experience to make a positive difference means the world.
Every week in the UK at least 12 fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. And like the case for my Dad, a massive 80% of these people experience no symptoms...which as you can imagine makes research, awareness and testing for these conditions so incredibly important.
Please donate if you would like to join in supporting this cause and help sponsor my charity skydive (every little helps!) ❤️
My aim is to have raised £300 between now and Wednesday 9th May 2018, ten days before my skydive, but to surpass this target would be magnificent. Don't forget to leave a note including your NAME/ADDRESS to allow me to fill out the charity sponsorship form.
Thank you for your time and please share!

Your father was a dear friend and work colleague of mine. He was a great nurse that touched and made a difference to many of his patients and others lives. I will forever miss him and his wise mind.

I’m a 20 year old student with a passion to use my experiences to make a difference! I recently lost my Dad to a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and it has been the most challenging thing for me, so for my birthday this year I’ll be doing a sponsored skydive to help the cause ❤️
