Story

Seb is currently in Year 7 at Longdendale and was shocked to see how much plastic was thrown away each day. He has therefore spent time working with members of the management team at the school to reduce waste and put in measures to reduce “one-use” plastics. In particular, Seb is keen to see an end to “one use” aprons in subjects such as Food Technology and is currently raising money to see these replaced by a more environmentally sensitive alternative.

Seb and his two friends, Sam and William Moses are due to leave the Longdendale school site on the morning of the 23rd July 2019 and walk the length of the Tameside Trail over a 2 day period. The Tameside Trail is a 34 mile circular route which passes through all of the 9 towns within the borough of Tameside. As they walk the boys will pick up any recyclable littler which they will then deposit in the correct facilities at the end of their walk
