Story
Elizabeth Jane Paling
née Pitts
1st July 1952 – 24th September 2024
Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday 24th September aged 72 years, after a short illness.
Devoted partner, nurturing and loving mother, treasured granny, sister and aunt, and inspirational teacher and friend to many.
Bringing joy to generations throughout her career as a musician, she will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her. The positive impact she has had on so many will live on, and we give thanks for all that she brought to the world, to her family and to all who knew her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to all who supported them, and Liz, during her period of illness especially the team on Ward 25 at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Park View Surgery, paramedics within East Midlands Ambulance Service, and the community nursing and palliative care teams.
Liz’s service is to be held at St Mary in Charnwood on Monday 14th October at 2pm, followed by committal at All Souls Chapel, Loughborough Crematorium. If you are able to park in the Nanpantan Hall car park, then please do so. Liz wanted people to view her funeral as a celebration of her life, and to please wear colourful clothing.
‘All Shall Be Well,
And All Shall Be Well,
And All Manner Of Thing Shall Be Well,’

Family flowers only please; donations if desired via this page to be shared between the RNLI and the Acute Stroke Shared Decision Making Council at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
