Story
On the 18th March 2021, we sadly lost Peter Leach, our beloved father, brother, husband, grandfather and uncle, following a stroke.
We wish to raise money to donate to Stroke Association and Dementia UK, as well as fund 4 memorial rose plants.
Peter was a well loved man with a great sense of humour and love for his family. He was a lifelong Wolverhampton Wanderers FC supporter, stamp collector and a well-known figure in the deaf community, we hope his memory lives on and people can come together to show support in his honour.
Peter loved to garden, and he was always very proud of the plants and flowers he grew. He took pride in his roses, tulips, dahlias and hydrangeas, and we feel the best way to commemorate him would be to plant roses in his memory for his wife, Wendy, and his three daughters, Rosie, Dawn and Lisa.
Peter worked for British Aerospace UK as an Aircraft Electrician in Dunsfold for many years, he remained proud of having worked for BAE for the rest of his life.
He attended many deaf clubs throughout his life, including Guildford Deaf Club, Slough Deaf Club and Reading Deaf Club, and had many deaf friends, some of which he had known since his days at Nutfield Priory School.
Peter and his brother David were the 5th generation of deaf people in their family, and Peter was lucky enough to see his great-grandson, Arthur, become the first of the 8th generation.
Peter married Wendy (née Campion) in 1967 at the Holy Trinity church in Guildford, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 where they were visited by friends and family.
They have three children, Rosemary, Dawn, and Lisa, three grandchildren, Sophie, Curtis and Daisy, and two great-grandchildren, Arthur and Elsie.
He will be greatly missed.
Thank you for your donation, this is greatly appreciated by our family.

3 years agoOn the 25th September we remembered our beloved Dad, Grandad, Brother, Husband and Uncle, Peter Leach, on his birthday. Thanks to your incredibly generous donations we were able to purchase 5 roses & remembrance plaques, given to Wendy, Peter’s wife, Dawn, Lisa, and Rosie, Peter’s daughters, and David, Peter’s brother. Because of your donations, we were also able to split the remaining money between two charities, Dementia UK and the Stroke Association, both receiving £565 each. Thank you for helping us keep Peter’s memory alive. 🧡🖤🧡
