    *** GREAT NEWS - UPDATE 19TH JULY 2020 ***

For those of you who have been following my JustGiving page, please follow the link to some great news and see the latest story.

The news story has a few details missing; the JustGiving page has raised £2250 with £1000 donated by Alderholt Co-op, £250 donated by Delichon Ltd of Sandleheath, £150 donated by New Forest Designs of Fordingbridge, £100 donated by Select Pets and Foods in Fordingbridge, and £50 from The George in Fordingbridge as well as many other skaters, fans and supporters of the campaign.

THANK YOU to all our supporters and to Fordingbridge Town Council for the final big YES! There are going to be some very happy skaters in town!

    ******************************************************************************

The new improved and much-needed Fordingbridge Skate Park was installed in April 2019, and officially opened on 1st June 2019.

Local youths helped advise planning during the initial consultation process and the final design selection went to Maverick Industries (Pictures here) who specialise in building skate parks across the South.

UNFORTUNATELY, LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER ITS OPENING, VISITING VANDALS HAVE BROKEN THE FLOODLIGHTS AND LOCAL YOUTHS ARE FRUSTRATED THAT THEY CANNOT MAKE USE OF THIS ESSENTIAL SOCIAL AND ACTIVITIES MEETING PLACE AFTER SCHOOL DURING THE DARK WINTER MONTHS.

REFURBISHED AT A COST OF £130,000 THE SKATE PARK WILL SADLY REMAIN EMPTY AFTER DARK WHICH IS A TERRIBLE WASTE OF AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE IN A SMALL TOWN WHERE THERE IS VERY LITTLE ELSE FOR YOUTHS.

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR CAMPAIGN AND HELP RAISE FUNDS TO REPLACE THE FLOODLIGHTS AT FORDINGBRIDGE SKATE PARK! SHARE THIS PAGE WIDE AND FAR!

    With special thanks to -

    Co-Op, Alderholt

We now have a quote! It will cost £12,500 for new floodlights for Fordingbridge Skatepark - and we have nearly £1000 with more pledges made and due to be added to the page soon! The more we raise, the more likely this is to happen...take note all you skaters out there 😉😉. Thank you everyone who has supported and donated to the crowdfund. I continue to liaise with Fordingbridge Town Council on this project and will keep you updated :)
