We hope to raise some awareness and support for Primary Engineer - a non-profit organisation that aims to encourage more young students to consider careers in STEM - and The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing Benevolent Fund - a charity that aims to support BINDT registered NDT professionals, and their relatives, during times of financial hardship or personal tragedy.

As a group, we believe that it is imperative to inspire future engineers, and what better time than in the early stages of their education & development; it goes without saying that this is especially important in light of the rapid technological advances we're bound to experience in the coming years. Furthermore, we feel strongly about supporting the immediate network of professionals in the industry we all find ourselves working in.

What are we doing?

The Tough Mudder Classic is an endurance event that aims to make its participants knackered, soaking wet, uncomfortable, covered in mud, and at times, rather shocked (figuratively and literally). It consists of 20 rather creative obstacles designed to push you past your comfort zone, scattered across a 10 mile stretch all to be completed individually or as a team. As a team, we aim to take part in the Tough Mudder Classic 15k event, scheduled for the 6th July 2024 in the midlands!

Oh most definitely! If you know any of us personally, look forward to seeing some rather muddy pictures of us once the event is finished! These will be shared on this campaign page following the event.

The intention is to split all received donations 50/50 across the two organisations at the end of the campaign. If you would prefer your contribution to not be split as stated please reflect this in the donation message. E.g. "I would like all proceeds to go to Primary Engineer."
