Story
Back in 2015 my son joined our local Sea Cadet unit and I was thrilled that he was getting involved with something that was very close to my heart. A year later I enrolled as a trustee to the unit in order that I could help make a difference to the lives of our 78 Cadets. Farnham Cadets Unit is not only one of the largest units in our region but its also comes with a lot of ongoing expenditure just to keep us operating on a month by month basis and although our Cadets pay a small monthly sub to us it barely covers our overheads as we are a registered charity immidiate, all
All our staff are volunteers and we dedicate hours of our own time each week not only to help our Cadets reach their goals in life but to make sure we are receive the correct levels of training to assure the welfare of our children.
Over the past 40 years since we opened our doors to the local community, we have been struggling to maintain the state of the building. We are now at a point where we have to take action .We currently have a severely leaking roof, which has now caused mildew in the dormitories plus cracked windows, all of which is not ideal when we are training in the hall 3 times a week.
In the whole 40 years we have operated, we have never asked for help , however we now feel the time has come to reach out to you all .
Please help us to upgrade our unit and donate whatever you can however big or small your donation as having a clean and warm unit to teach in would mean the world to our cadets. We are aiming high with our fundraising target however this is only a fraction of what we need to at least get a new roof.

Thank you all for your support and lets get that target raised.
