We all know about the atrocities in Ukraine, but for me it's personal. I have friends there. To bring this to life, one particular friend lost his wife in a Russian bomb attack last July. The same bomb left Yaroslav's son with life-changing injuries. It was estimated that 45% of his body was covered in external burns and that another 35% of his body was burned internally.

Can you imagine if this were your child?

Young Roman still wears a face mask because of the burns, but against all predictions is starting to walk again.
