Story
Milestone is a charity aimed at raising awareness of, and normalising the conversation around, mental health, removing the stigmas that still exist in today’s society and to act as a catalyst for others to engage with and tackle whatever it is that they are facing in the knowledge that they are not alone.
The aim of our fundraising is to increase the awareness of mental health across all levels of sport and while the cricket season is currently on hold we are aiming to cover the equivalent distance of a return journey to all South Staffs County League clubs which has been rounded up to 1200 miles for each of our challenges.
Firstly - our members are going to collectively cover the required distance during June via walking, running or cycling. Distances will be logged and a regular progress updates will be posted via social media.
Secondly - our current and previous 1st team captains are going to complete half each. Stu Phazey and Kev Royce will set about averaging 20 miles a day throughout just to achieve their 600 mile targets. Again regular updates will be posted as to their progress.
