A lot of you will know at this is the time of year I usually start to mither people for money for the Reverse Advent Calendar Foodbank appeal. This year I've decided to do something a bit different. You might recall that during the period I was furloughed, I was involved with a local Foodbank based in Padgate at the Station House pub. This was set up in response to the pandemic and has helped hundreds of local families who have been affected in one way or another by Covid. I've decided that this year I want to raise money to donate towards at least 100 Christmas dinner hampers, each for a family of 4, who might otherwise struggle to provide one. A minimun of 60 will go to the Station House and 40 will go to another local Foodbank based in Fearnhead which was set up to help people in the area who have been identified as vulnerable during the pandemic. So, I've decided that me and the ever suffering husband are going to do a bit of a sponsored challenge throughout November. We are going to complete 4 half marathons in 4 weekends. Come rain or shine, we will be completing a different route of a minimum of 13.1 miles each weekend, travelling through North, South, East and West Warrington. I can't promise they will be fast, however we will finish and all proceeds raised will go towards the local Foodbanks mentioned in order to help those less fortunate than us to have a good Christmas in these unprecedented times.
