Why do we need more defibrillators?

To help someone who is in cardiac arrest effectively, a defibrillator needs to be found as quickly as possible. For every minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach someone and deliver a shock, their chances of survival reduce.

Locally, our nearest defibrillator is 10 minutes away. This means we would have to rely on the Emergency Medical Services to arrive and set up the AED.

We want to raise money to provide Amerton Farm with a Defibrillator to use should the worst happen in the local community.

We will be walking 26.2 miles in the Peak District in April as a Team of Members at Mantra Fitness Studio (non-members also welcome) to help raise money for this cause :-)
