Carl and Lyra had so much fun together. He was always taking her out on her bike or her scooter, or getting her to help him in the garden clearing up leaves or chopping wood. Hearing our neighbours tell me recently what a good daddy he was meant the world - they saw them outside all the time, having fun.

He would go on all the rides with her and carry her on his shoulders when she was tired. My best memory of this is at the Guns N Roses concert in Hyde Park last summer - he took her on the big swing ride 3 times even though it made him feel sick because she loved it so much. My memory of Lyra on his shoulders dancing to his favourite band is a very happy one.

She loves watching Paragliders, and he always said he'd take her when she was big enough. They had so many adventures planned.

I'm sure whatever she chooses to do when she turns 18, Carl will be along for the ride somehow.

To know how many people loved her and her daddy when this tragedy entered our lives, will mean so much to her.
