Story
Harrison was born ten weeks premature at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. He weighed 3lbs 5ozs and spent the first minutes, hours and weeks of his life struggling to breathe on his own. He wouldn't be here with us today if it wasn't for the expertise of the staff in SCBU. They not only care for the babies, they give great support to parents and helped us get through countless extremely difficult days. After 9 long weeks we were allowed to bring Harrison home. He is now five months old and makes us laugh and smile everyday. We can't thank SCBU enough for looking after our little miracle.

7 years agoWow! What a week it has been, can't believe we are now over £800 in sponsorship. Im delighted the Great Run people and the Daily Record and Paisley Daily Express shared our story and helped to raise awareness of prem births and the great work carried out in SCBU. Two weeks to go until race day and my knee is still not allowing me to run. I'll try to train again this week, hopefully I'll be able to at least run part of the course. Thanks for all your support.

7 years agoHi everyone, I cannot believe we have raised almost £400 since the page went live on Saturday night. Thank you for your very generous donations. I've been out training and have learned to never go for a run after having an Indian for lunch 🤢.
