This is so hard for me to write, yet again the big C has got hold of one of my best friends.

Paula State and I have been friends for 49 years we’ve had some amazing times together but also been through some rubbish ones but we’ve always supported each other, never a cross word between us. It’s now my time to support her with the help of all the people that know and love her.

Paula became ill with back pain around 3 months ago and has been working until around 6 weeks ago. The pain got so bad she fell to her knees and had to get a taxi to her GP, she was in so much pain she had to be carried into the surgery.

The GP ordered an urgent MRI scan which came back showing some abnormalities so she was then sent for a CT scan which shown up several small tumours. She was then sent for an endoscopy which picked up 3 larger tumours and numerous others all over her body.

Paula went to see the consultant on the 7th March for the diagnosis and unfortunately this wasn’t a good outcome he basically told her there is nothing they can do and said she only has months.

Paula will not give up without a fight but whilst she’s doing that I would like with your help to make Paula’s time she has left to be comfortable. I do not want her to have to worry about money which she is doing because she can’t work, so shes going to have to rely on benefits.

Paula is a very strong person and has had alot of stuggles in life but has never asked for help and always has a smile on her face she is always thinking and helping others. Now it's our time to help her.
