As a Trustee of this amazing charity I get to see day to day the impact it's work has and how much they provide to their participants. Since Lockdown all fundraising activities were cancelled so it was very hard to continue. Staff stepped up and volunteered to run Zoom chat sessions and online UV Club nights so the participants could still connect. The time they gave was a lifeline to those people who struggled because of the isolation that lockdown resulted in for them, due to the many different needs they have.

Classes started back up in September but due to the various and often complex medical needs of the participants these continue to be on Zoom. This has it's limitations but that hasn't stopped the team creating a fun, safe and exciting learning environment for the participants. They gain so much from each and every class and UV event, not only new skills but on a social time too. The chance to share a laugh or dance with your friends is so very very important to us all, and even more so for this group of people some of whom still haven't been allowed to leave the house since March.
