Story
I'm raising £2,000 to do my part to help the Girls' Brigade give girls and young women confidence, skills and experience so that they can become the leaders of tomorrow.
I'll be taking on 14 challenges over the next few days, all of which are terrifying me - shaving my head, holding a snake, riding sidesaddle, endurance dancing and a bunch of other stuff. You can see my progress on my website judithdavey-cole.org.
Please donate if you can to support thousands of girls across England and Wales.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, I will withdraw funds directly and pass them on to Girls' Brigade. It's the most efficient way to donate and saves time and costs.

4 months agoI visited our friend Richard Barton-Knott who allowed me to challenge myself by draping a snake around my neck. She was surprisingly smooth and cool, but what you can't really see in the video is how much I was shaking throughout. Still - feel the fear and do it anyway...! Videos of this and other challenges are available at https://www.judithdavey-cole.org

4 months agoChallenge 4: Two Hours of Shakespeare I spent two hours in the very windy centre of Andover reading Shakespeare - from Macbeth, through Henry V to the sonnets. The main challenge was saving the lectern from blowing over in the gusty wind - perhaps King Lear's "Blow winds and crack your cheeks" would have been appropriate! Thanks to all those who donated on the day, and to Cllr Iris Andersen who turned up to support me. I was also surprised to see Paul and Rachel Fox, from the Netherlands, who happened to be in Andover for a wedding.
