I've raised £5600 to support InterActive Whitby and District to take 20 young people and required staff on an adventure holiday at Peat Rigg.

Hi. I’m John. I love adventures and challenges in all shapes and sizes. I have been lucky enough to have been shown and given the opportunity to take part in all sorts of them.
My latest adventure was to cycle the Great British Divide gravel route. A 2000km ride from Lands End to John O Groats via Wales, taking in the best that mainland UK has to offer - from moorlands to forests, villages to cities and everything in between.
I had a lot of time to think while pedalling up some of the countries most gruelling hills, and one thing I kept coming back to was how lucky I am in so many different ways, to be able to do this.
The great thing about adventures like this is the combination of new, scary, exciting and challenging that can give you a real sense of achievement. It would be nice to help other people get a taste of this.
Everyone I met on the way asked me who the charity is that I was doing the ride for. All my friends and family asked me too. I had no idea if id make it to the end so I decided to wait until I had before asking people to sponsor me.
Well, I’ve finished it now. So please give what you can, to help the young people that InterActive Whitby and District work with to go on a great holiday weekend of adventure, challenge and fun at Peat Rigg.
InterActive Whitby and District has supported hundreds of children, young people and their families by providing the bits that other organisations don’t. It’s the only charity of its kind in Whitby. They offer inclusive opportunities for youngsters with disabilities and special needs. Above all, they want them to have fun!
To take 20 young people and the required staff to Peat Rigg costs £5600 – this is the plan for August. Let’s see if we can make a dent in that for them.
Thanks.
John
