Story

On February 14th this year, our family lost an amazing person to cancer. His name was Stuart Crowther, he was only 66 years old when this evil disease claimed his life, the day he took his last breath was also the day our family was eternally broken. After a year of battling this illness though surgery, chemo and radiotherapy the war was coming to an end, sadly it was a war, that was not to be won. It was Stuarts last wish to spend his final days in the hospice, to allow him the dignity and precious remaining time with his loved ones. The hospice made a massive difference to his life and our family. We will be forever grateful for the care and support they gave to him. So in his memory we would like to raise essential funds for this wonderful place. It costs the hospice £3.7 million a year to offer care and support to patients and their families. The first fundraising event will be held on 24th June at enfield cricket club. Myself, my mum, an old colleague of Stuarts, a friend and her son will be getting our heads shaved to raise as much as we can. This is not only about raising money but also awareness for the hospice. Please can everyone donate, even if its just £1.00.
