My beautiful wife Jackie lost her battle with cancer in October 2018. It was the third time that she had been diagnosed with cancer. In 1999, Jackie was also diagnosed with a kidney disease which she lived with for nineteen years, controlled with medication. Despite both diseases being debilitating and distressing, Jackie was inspirational throughout her battle and always maintained a positive attitude. Jackie was the most thoughtful, caring person who touched so many lives. She put her own troubles aside to help others in similar situations to herself, which is why it is important to us to carry on her legacy.

Local cancer and kidney causes are close to our hearts and we hope to help others who face these battles in the future. Ten of us, including Jackie's close family and friends, are hoping to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge and raise money through your kind donations. This challenge will take place in June and involves climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The donations will go towards helping people receive treatment and to hopefully win their own battles against these diseases.
