Story
Ian Dixon (dad) lived in Peterston-super-Ely for over 40 years and he absolutely loved the village. He was closely involved with St Peter’s Church and the Community Hall, taking photographs, acting, running pantomines, and judging at the annual Flower Show! So instead of flowers his family are asking people to donate (if they wish) towards a fund that will be split equally between the Church and the Hall, as a tiny thank you to the amazing place dad called home.
PS This is a photo of dad in his teenage Southend football playing years. Can you spot him? Hint: his twin (Uncle David) is also in the photo.

4 years agoWow, thanks everyone for your generosity! Together with the cash donations I have received this means we will be able to give both the Church and the Church Hall at least £500 each! I know dad would be very grateful!

Ian was a familiar and well-liked figure at our events for more than twenty years. His photographs were much appreciated, and opened up new opportunities on reporting on pupil activities in the press
