Weʼve raised £2,010 to Help fund a memorial to Ray Rush and the South Lancashire Regt. He was the last sole survivor of the South Lancashire Regiment. Died 23/5/20

Story
Ray Rush was one of the first to step foot on sword beach during the DDay landings. he helped liberate France, Belgium and Holland and after reaching Germany he was transported over to Italy. He eventually returned home 3 years later. On VE day this year he was diagnosed with Covid 19 and on the 23rd May this year he died, he was the last sole survivor of the South Lancashire Regt and it is hoped that money raised will be used to build a fitting memorial to a great man and a great Regiment
