🎅 Help Bring the High Peak Christmas Grotto to Life! 🎄

Christmas has become one of the most intense and expensive times of the year for families. The UK is facing some of the highest levels of child poverty in decades, and many parents are already feeling the strain. Across the country, grotto visits are now costing £10–£30 per child, putting something as simple as seeing Santa out of reach for many families.

The High Peak Grotto is designed to be just as magical, if not more. It’s built on community spirit, imagination, and heart. We want to take away the price tag, and worry. We want bring the joy back to what Christmas is really about: families and communities coming together.

Every year, our team of volunteers works tirelessly to create a magical Winter Wonderland where families can visit Santa, enjoy festive fun, and take home a free gift.

This event is completely free to attend and open to all families, because we believe that every child deserves a bit of Christmas magic.

But behind the sparkle is a huge amount of hard work, planning, and cost.

The Grotto takes months to prepare, and on the day, our volunteers are there from 6am until 7pm (and the night before too!) decorating, setting up, and making it magical.

To make sure we can keep the Grotto running for years to come, we need your help.

🎄 Venue hire and refreshments

🎅 Paying our wonderful Santa

✨ Decorations, props, and materials to transform the space

Every penny helps create smiles, memories, and moments of pure joy for local families.

And if you can’t donate but would still like to help, we’re always looking for volunteers, selection box donations, and large festive props to help fill the space.
