Val Thompson’s life was changed forever in 2013, through no fault of her own, when a simple trip in her home broke her spine.

Now confined to a wheelchair, paralysed from the waist down and with only restricted mobility in her upper body, the previously hard working 61-year-old former company secretary is now isolated in her home, dependent upon friends & family to do even the most basic of tasks.

We are determined to change that and give Val a new lease of life by raising £8,000 to buy a specially designed wheelchair which will give her the ability to stand upright and begin living again.

With your help, Val will be able to join in her care by performing simple tasks that most of us take for granted, such as reaching into a cupboard, standing at the sink, or just switching on a light when there is no-one else around.

The special chair will also provide medical benefits that will assist in building Val's muscles and help her to digest meals.
