Hello my name is Sarah. I am setting off on Monday 30th May 2022 to solo walk the Norfolk and Suffolk coast paths to raise money for Sunbeams.

Sunbeams is a haven for children and young people with Autism based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. It is a charity dear to my heart as it was set up nine years ago by my mum. Sunbeams has supported countless young people and their families over this time. I will be passing through Great Yarmouth as part of my walk.

I am aiming to raise £1500 to buy a defibrillator for the charity which is equivalent to fundraising £10 for every mile of this walk.

Whilst the distance of this walk is only 150 miles, it comes with its own set of unique challenges. I have had arthritis for 12 years; my hands and my feet are badly affected. Simple things like putting a tent up and stuffing a sleeping bag into a compression sack are pretty much impossible for me - so it is going to be an interesting time! I will carry everything that I need on my back (there will be no luxury for me such as B&Bs or warm showers!)
