Story
Dottie's Cafe in East Brighton Park is a cafe staffed by people with hearing disabilities of varying levels. Our NCS team has a local link with the owner of this charity and having visited the site and seen the enthusiasm of the staff and owner we wanted to help make the cafe even better. By chatting with the owner we came up with the idea of making a sensory garden out back with a wheelchair ramp for easier access. We are hoping that once it is finished it can be enjoyed by the local community and will be a focal point for charities that aim to help people with disabilities.
