As you are all aware my long term partner and the father of our three children Jim Blockley suffered a heart attack and multiple cardiac arrests during Leicester City's football match in the champions league against Sevilla FC. Thankfully he is now at home with us all due to the fact of the quick response of certain individuals including an off duty firefighter, doctor, paramedics and St. Johns ambulance service. One of the main reasons that Jim is still here with us today is because of the defibrillator used to restore his heart beat. Because of what happened to Jim we have learnt that these are a much needed piece of equipment in the community. We have also learnt that there are not many in the community due to the lack of funding. And so for this reason we have decided to open this page so we can place at least one more defibrillator somewhere in Leicestershire so that hopefully another persons life can be saved like Jim
