Crystal is a child at Herbert Thompson Primary School who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in February 2015. Having undergone intensive treatment, she had the wonderful news that she had gone into remission April 2017. A recent MRI scan has shown that Crystal has relapsed and that she has tumours in her liver, one in her vertebrae and her bone marrow is infected. Her family are fundraising to get Crystal the specialist treatment she needs. To support Crystal and her family, a group of staff at the school are running the Cardiff 5k Race for Victory on Sunday 6th May 2018.
