Tragically, in 2018 1 in every 250 pregnancies ended in a stillbirth with an average of 2900 babies passing away before they take their first breath every year.

A devastating event for parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, families and even the staff caring for these angel babies and their families.

On March 6th 2021, five friends and Yeovil Rugby Women's teammates are aiming to honour each little life lost and raise funds for both our local Yeovil Maternity Hospitals Bereavement Team and also the national SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death) charity. This ensures our funds will benefit families locally and across the country - so wherever you are - your donation will help.

£2900 - 2900 burpees - one for each stillborn baby in a day will not be an easy challenge but it's so much easier to put our bodies through this for a day than to walk the path of a parent who has lost a baby.

This challenge will be conducted in line wit whatever the most recent government guidelines regarding COVID and social distancing - we would love to be burpee-ing together but will do this separately in our own homes if needed.
