Story

How it started

When I was 8 years old I started to raise money for the Ark, In the past I have made and sold loom band jewellery, I've taking part in a 24 hour sponsored silence and I organised a bring and buy sale and raffle in my local village hall. Over the past three years I already raised over £700.

My big bike ride challenge

This year I want to do something big - so I'm going to bike from my Shropshire village all the way to the welsh coast in Barmouth. It's over 70 miles!!!! My dad and uncle are going to be cycling with me and encouraging me all the way.

We are going to set off on Friday 23rd July, bike all day and then stay in a B&B, and hopefully get to Barmouth on Saturday 24th. I'm a bit nervous as its a long way and there are quite a few very big hills but I want to test myself and raise lots of money for my charity.

What it's for - the work of The Ark

The Ark is a charity which works with the homeless and vulnerable in our community. It has a day centre which offers basic living facilities such as hot showers, laundry and hot meals and drinks. It also has an outreach program which checks on rough sleepers, offering hot drinks, support and ensures that everyone knows how to access their services.
