Story

Hi!

I'm Ashley and I work at an organisation called Crocus Fields. Crocus Fields provides short breaks (what used to be called respite) for young people with learning and/or physical disabilities in Nottingham. The young people who come to us do so to give their parents a break and to spend time with their peers outside of school. It is an amazing place and the young people absolutely love coming and spending time there.

We would like to build a sensory garden for the unit but this requires funds! Therefore through a series of events we are hoping to raise some cash in order to create a unique space that all of the young people can spend time in and enjoy. For more information on sensory gardens take a look at this website: http://www.sensorygardens.net/. We have so far raised about £500 but hope to raise much more.

As part of this fundraising bonanza, 6 friends and I are planning on completing "The Three Peaks". This involves scaling the three biggest mountains in each country of Great Britain (Scafell, Snowdon and Ben Nevis) in 24 hours. The event is on the 7th July starting at 6am.

We would be absolutely over the moon if you would be willing to sponsor us a quid or two to go towards this great cause.

The lads doing the trek with me are:

Matt Woodcock
Tim Hodges
Jack Young
Rob Shuter
Joe Ganderson
Ben Thornhill
