Story

Alice Kavanagh is a student at The Marlborough School in Woodstock. She is an intelligent, kind person with so much potential and she is well-liked by all.

Alice was very sadly involved in a car accident on the 2nd November. On her way to her job, she got off her bus and was hit by a car. This accident caused her several serious injuries including damage to her head which left her in a coma. She has been described as having a grade 2 diffuse axonal injury which means her quality of life if she fully wakes up will be altered and she will require extensive rehabilitation and care.

Recently her team of neurologists tried a new drug on her and on the 20th November, she woke up! This is amazing news and her family are elated.

Alice is a bright and courageous person and is incredibly loved at Marlborough. We miss her dearly and know that she will be fighting hard to learn to live normally.

We have therefore launched this just giving page to help her family with transport and care costs related to Alice’s care in the ICU. We also want Alice to have funding to help her to catch up with her studies and help to compensate her for not having income from her job.

Please donate whatever you can for our wonderful friend and thank you for your kindness.

Ava, Theo, friends and family.
