Story

On Monday 2nd of September 2024, we and 2 friends, Nikki & Nigel will be walking the West Highland Way in memory of our son Harris Don who sadly passed away on November 28th 2023 after a long battle to neuroblastaoma 🎗️

Harris Don, was diagnosed with neuroblastaoma on Hogmanay 2019, where he embarked on 23 months of treatment at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.

In November 2021 Harris got to ring the bell as he entered remission, however in March 2023 as Harris got unwell again we were given the news that the cancer had returned and after giving the best fight he fell asleep on the 28th November 2023.

Still being early days since we lost our precious boy, we have both found great comfort in getting out and about and having time to be with our thoughts, and processing all that has happened the last few years.

We will be raising money for 7 charities over the 7 days of the hike. These charities helped us when we most needed them, we want to help give back to them as they continue to support families going through the same journey as us.
