How do we plan to spend the money?
All money raised will be put towards the purchase and installation of a defibrillator on the outside of the club house at The Bronte site in Normanton. The code will be registered with the emergency services to ensure that anyone in urgent need of a defibrillator is able to access it.

Why do we need a defibrillator?
The Bronte is currently home to a number of sports clubs and hosts other community activities. Over the coming months and years we will be working hard to increase the number of sports and activities offered on the site and so we have a duty of care to ensure that everyone using the site is safe - participants, volunteers, players, spectators and anyone else using the site.
As part of this duty of care we feel it appropriate that there is a defibrillator at the site to give anyone suffering a cardiac arrest the best chance of survival.

Why do you need to raise money to purchase a defibrillator?
A Future In Sport is a not-for-profit organisation and raises money from organised events, grant funding and donations. We continually monitor what we charge for facilities and activities to ensure as many people in the community are able to access them and as such we do not have sufficiently large reserves to be able to afford to purchase this outright ourselves.
We are therefore looking to crowdfunding to help to subsidise the cost as much as possible. Any funding acquired which takes us over the target will be used to provide training to users of the site in use of the defibrillator to help ensure a trained volunteer is always available during organised activities on the site.
