Hi there, or should I say "Woof!"

I'm Aphrodite but my humans, Cherie and Steve, call me Affie. They met me at the Animal Rescue Cyprus centre in Paphos when they were on holiday.

My plan for them to fall in love with me and adopt me worked and on the 28th January 2024, I began the long journey to the UK. It started with me and some of my furry friends being taken to Larnaca airport and flown from there to Maastricht in Holland (aren't you impressed a dog can spell Maastricht??). We then had a ride in a pretty cool and comfortable custom equipped van which took us on the ferry to England and on by road to a motorway service station on the M6, whatever that is, where my humans were waiting for me (with chicken), that same evening.

I'm loving my new life and have been on lots of interesting walks, new experiences and endless cuddles and love but still thinking of my friends who are waiting to be as lucky as me back in Cyprus. With that in mind, I wanted to help them and raise some money by walking the distance from Nottingham Castle, near where I live now, back to Animal Rescue Cyprus, a distance of 2713 miles. Could we get £1 per mile? That would be very cool. Please help if you can and I'll get Cherie or Steve to thank you properly.

Our big walk is made up of daily dog walks, weekend hikes and Cherie's walk to work. She's also promised to take me running with her when she finally gets on with it, won't hold my breath on that! It's all captured on Strava, and as they say, if it's not on Strava, it never happened 😆
