As many of my friends and family will know, during October this year, me, Dan Smith, Liam Smith and Martin Edwards will be competing in the Ju jitsu world championships in The Gold Coast of Australia with the GB Sport ju jitsu team. As we are all trying to fund ourselves individually, I have started this page in hope of raising some money that will go a long way towards funding my trip to compete. These competitions are self funded, and therefore very expensive for a student in full time education, especially seeing as my parents passed away many years ago, leaving me to have to work 2 jobs to fund my everyday living and rent. We are all currently throwing some fund raising events in the hope of raising as much money as possible so that we can all cover the expenses and hopefully bring back some medals to Bude! None of us like asking for people to donate money to us, however, any sore change that you may have would go a long way towards covering the expensive costs of travelling and staying in Australia. Even if only 20 pounds is raised, even that would be a help. For anyone who does have some spare change lying around that they could kindly donate, it would be greatly appreciated!
