In the last year our volunteers best efforts to fundraise for items on the playing field to be enjoyed by all has been under attack from anti social behaviour. Our goal posts were broken (not for the first time), our trees newly planted where broken and killed, a bin at our picnic table was attacked and caved in and last night our own village children set fire to the picnic tables that took years of planning and fundrasing. We get minimal grants from the council which unfortunately doesnt cover our costs for ground maintenance throughout the year and so the rest comes from pure fundraising. Any funds left over from this we try to make the playing fields an area for all to enjoy. The arson is now a police matter. We are asking the community to help us. We desperately need help. We cannot keep justifying spending our precious funds on replacing equiptment when it is needed for road repairs, ditch clearance, hedge trims and grass cuts throughout the year.
