Story
One short migraine alerts Dj to brain tumour!
(Pictured: Rob the day after his brain surgery)
Dj Rob Tillen was unexpectedly diagnosed with a grade 4 aggressive Glioblastoma brain tumour in August 2021 (Cancer of the brain to you and me).
(Pictured: Rob's scar and staples)
A fast growing cancer which doctors have told us is sadly incurable.
(Pictured: Rob and his son enjoying the beach)
11 days after diagnosis Rob underwent brain surgery and the mass was removed with roots remaining.
(Pictured: Rob training for Tough Mudder one month before diagnosis)
6 weeks of daily radiotherapy and chemotherapy have finished, Chemotherapy begins again mid December.
(Pictured: Rob being fitted for his radiotherapy mask - Claustrophobic!)
Robs surgeon has given him an average of just 11 months to live, with a 5% chance of survival over the next 5 years.
(Pictured: Rob DJ'ing one week before diagnosis)
We are exploring other treatment options and have found that dendritic cell vaccinations and a checkpoint inhibitor could give Rob an extra 20% chance at survival,
These treatments are available in Germany and will cost us £350,000.
Rob's radio show Decadance Anthems on London Music Radio (LMR), Fridays 5pm-8pm is now dedicated to raising awareness of brain tumours and will be raising money for charities and treatments. Rob hopes to be back to DJ'ing his show live from 7th January depending on how the next course of chemotherapy goes.
We all want our fun, generous and charismatic Rob to remain with us for as long as possible, and live a full and healthy life.
Please wish us luck, donate if you can, and/or consider our cause for your next fundraiser Xx
