I started this page on 1st February 2017 to help support Rachel Carrack in her fight against cancer.

I will be running 5K Everyday in February at various locations, all ending with a run around Tranmere Park.

Rachel was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour in her pancreas and bile ducts in 2014 and was offered only palliative treatment in the U.K. Fortunately her parents were able to fund specialist treatment in Germany and this worked, shrinking the tumours to nothing more than scar tissue. Devastatingly, the cancer came back in 2016 and spread to her lymph nodes. Rachel went back for further treatment in Germany and needed to raise funds to pay for her treatment which was not available on the NHS.

Sadly however on Sunday morning 19th February 2017 Rachel passed away in a Marie Curie hospice in Bradford surrounded by her family. She was 35.

Rachel was a nurse, wife, mother, daughter, sister. Rachel's children are aged 2 and 4.

I'm carrying on....running 5k a day to raise money for Rachel's two young children.
