Story
Rowers (especially juniors) are returning to rowing on the Tamar at Calstock after the membership of the club was decimated during Covid. We need a new skiff and lightweight kit for the juniors to be able to train and compete.
The new boat will be built by Peter Williams in Bodinnick, he built our newest skiff, 2014, Mos En Rag (To Go Forward in Cornish) .
Recently a stalwart member of the club and village legend, Jack James passed away and we will be naming the new skiff after him. His namesake will then travel across the county racing in regattas together with the flashboat named after his friend Jim Stacey.
The other kit we need for the boat is a purpose built trailer, and various paddles and oars to enable the boat (and our other flashboats) to be rowed by the younger rowers that have come to learn the sport.
