Bolnore Village Primary School are raising Money to buy a life saving Defibrillator for the school. The defibrillator will be housed outside so it can also be accessed by the community should anyone ever need lifesaving equipment in an emergency. 24/7

Some of the School Mum's are taking part in two mud and obstacle based runs: The first is a the Major Series 5k on the 1st October and on the 2nd October the 7k Warrior run! - We promise to share lots of muddy/wet/tear soaked and totally flattering pictures with you after the event!!!

Some facts about why this is so important to have:

-There are approximately 60,000 Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrests per year in the UK

- 270 children die in the UK per year after suffering a Sudden CardiacArrest at school

- If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from 6% to 74%

- Without immediate treatment, 90-95 percent of Sudden Cardiac Arrest victims will die
