Story
Cross stitch your own Emily Peacock ribbon for Breast Cancer Care!
To help raise funds for Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Fridays campaign, CrossStitcher magazine have teamed up contemporary needlepoint designer Emily Peacock to create a stylish ‘stitch-it-yourself’ pink ribbon!
All you need is a few spare threads from your stash to complete your individual pink ribbon to wear with pride. (You can check out photos of the CrossStitcher team and their ribbons on our facebook page!)
Simply download the free chart, stitch it in your favourite colours and donate £2 to Breast Cancer Care (minimum donation).
Once you're done - take a photo and post it onto our Flickr or Facebook page.
So many people each year are affected by Breast Cancer and the team behind your favourite stitching magazine feel that providing this design will encourage more people to get involved with this fantastic cause, as Emily Peacock explains: “The spirit of Breast Cancer Care and the incredible work they do can be so wonderfully expressed through cross stitch. To create something from your own hands for someone else, or with the thought or memory of someone is, I feel, a true offering and beautiful symbol of love and compassion.”
Emily Peacock has kindly donated this pink ribbon 'copyright free' - so you can stitch it for charity and even sell them if you wish. All we ask is that you donate £2 for use of the chart as a good-will gesture.
If your a beginner stitcher or a complete pro, just taking a few precious hours out of your week to stitch this for Breast Cancer Care will help save lives in the future.
Just drop us a line with a picture of your finished ribbon and we'll create a gallery at the end of the month.
Thanks for getting involved!
