Ar ddiwedd mis Tachwedd 2011, bu farw Angharad yn 14 mlwydd oed. Roedd hi'n gyfnod trist iawn i staff a disgyblion yr ysgol wrth gofio am gyn-ddisgybl hoffus a llawn bywyd er gwaethaf ei chyflwr meddygol a'r anawsterau a'i hwynebodd yn ddyddiol. Brwydrodd Angharad yn ddewr iawn gyda'i chyflwr EB drwy gydol ei bywyd, gan deithio i Ysbyty Great Ormond Street er mwyn derbyn triniaeth yn bythefnosol yn ystod ei blwyddyn olaf.
Er mwyn diolch i'r ysbyty hwnnw ac mewn dathliad o fywyd Angharad rydym fel staff a chyfeillion Yr Ysgol Gymraeg wedi penderfynu beicio o'r Ysgol Gymraeg i Ysbyty Great Ormond Street yn Llundain yn ystod gwyliau'r haf eleni. Taith sydd yn 220 milltir o hyd. Bwriad y daith yw i gyflwyno siec i'r ysbyty o'r arian a godir trwy weithgareddau a drefnir gan ddisgyblion yr ysgol yn ystod tymor yr haf, a'r arian a godir trwy nawdd ar gyfer y daith feics ei hun.
At the end of November 2011, Angharad sadly died aged 14 years old. It was a very sad time for staff and pupils alike as we remembered a likeable and lively ex-pupil despite her long battle with her medical condition and the daily struggles she was faced with. Angharad battled courageously against her condition EB from birth, having to travel to Great Ormond Street Hospital fortnightly to receive treatment during the last year of her life.
In order to thank the hospital and to celebrate Angharad's love of life we as staff and friends of Ysgol Gymraeg have decided to cycle from Ysgol Gymraeg to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London during this year's summer holidays. A journey of 220 miles. Our aim is to present a cheque to the hospital of the monies raised through acitivities held at the school which will be organised by the pupils during the summer term, along with sponsorship money for the bike ride itself.
