Hi guys,

for people that dont know already my sisters daughter Imogen has been diagnosed with a large hole in her heart, the hole is around  1.5cm which is really big considering Imogen is only six weeks old  and only weighing 7lb 2oz when Imogen was born she weighed in at 6lb13oz. Doctors wanted to wait until Imogen was weighing 11lb to be able to perform open heart surgery, but due to her burning so much calories from breathing so erratically  and being sick because of her breathing doctors have made the decision to operate end of next week. Imogen is so fragile and will be critical for weeks after the operation. I love little Imogen to pieces and if i could give anything to be able to make Imogen and all the other sick children better i would. Iam also very close to my sister she has been very upset but when ive been at the hospital the nurses are superb very comforting and reassuring. Iam going to be doing a few events this year including the Bristol marathon.and a few more events. With the money that is raised will be very much appreciated on the ward and will be spent on new equipment for all ages.
