Story
My name’s Jason Clarke, I’m a musician from Belfast who released a Christmas video last year which I filmed in front of Belfast’s City Hall and which people seemed to enjoy. I decided to film another Christmas cover this year as lots of people asked what I would be doing and I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise awareness at the same time for a great cause.
I hope you enjoyed the Christmas video. We had so much fun filming with Northern Ireland’s favourite personalities who were all such great sports by taking part in the video in order to help to raise awareness for CLIC Sargent's Home from Home Appeal.
I know myself and all the celebrities who gave up their time and took part in the video would be very grateful for any amount you can give this Christmas.
Here’s a bit of information about this fantastic appeal.
Every week, 2 families hear the devastating news that their precious child has cancer. Their life will never be the same again, as they start a long treatment plan, often many miles from home. On average families in Northern Ireland travel up to 95 miles per day, several times a week to access the treatment their child needs at the principal cancer treatment centre in Belfast. To ease this burden CLIC Sargent is building two specialist Homes from Home. The Homes will offer families a place to stay free of charge, close to the hospital.
The first Home will be open to families in January but we need your help to complete the second Home from Home. Your donation can mean that by next Christmas families who have a child receiving treatment for cancer will be able to celebrate it together close to the hospital.
