Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In October 2012 the Cambridge Kettlebell Channel Crew rowed the English Channel. Our main goal was to have fun and raise money for Macmillan. Thanks to everyone who has sponsored us so far. It's still not too late to donate.
When we started our training back in April we expected the crossing to take between 6 to 7 hours. However, after many months of hard training we exceeded all expectations. Not only did we make it to France without capsizing and avoided hitting any big tankers, we actually set a new course record of 4 hours 3 minutes, taking 16 minutes off the previous record. We are still in shock as a result of this achievement. I believe this is an indication of just how hard we trained. If you're impressed by the outcome then please cough up some money to show your support.
The crew consist of Alan Middlebrook, Andy Coles, Dennis Roche, Gary Antcliffe, Jason Evans, Jonathan Gough, Richard Youell and Steve Read.
