Pancreatic cancer is one of the hardest cancers to diagnose with the survival rate being only 3%. Last year I watched my mother suffer and die from this terrible disease. She went to her G.P in December 2013 with chronic indigestion, she was sent for an endoscopy which came back clear. She then had a C.T scan which showed an abnormality on her pancreas. All the while her pain was getting worse and she was unable to eat very much. It wasn't until July 2014 after more tests and a biopsy that she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 3/6 months to live! She passed away 3 months to the day! Pancreatic cancer U.K needs money to help with research so people get an earlier diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer research only accounts for 1% of overall funding despite it being the 5th largest cause of cancer death in the U.K.
