Story

I DID IT! Thanks all for your support. After good preparation I was blighted by a cold in the days before the event, and I didn't know if I would be able to run. But I did, and beat my target by 5 minutes, and last year's time by 19 minutes! Very happy!

Still time to donate if you can. And those who promised money, please use the Justgiving facility or contact me to arrange another method. Thanks

Please help me raise some money for Edale Mountain Rescue Team and fitter in the process, by running the 20 mile 9 Edges race on 25th September 2010.

I ran the race last year in a time of 4 hours 14 minutes. With a little motivational help from you, and hard work training from me I'd like to beat the 4 hour target this year.

Please donate something to this worthwhile cause - 2010 has already been their busiest year rescuing people throughout the peak district. See their website for more information.

Follow my progress on Twitter, or Facebook, and on my Training Log. I have some fun races lined up over the next few weeks to help in preparation, including a half marathon orienteering race in Richmond Park, and the London City race a week before the 9 Edges. I have already begun my preparation with a week orienteering in the lake district, and a half marathon training run.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Edale Mountain Rescue and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank You!
