Spire 2013 Half Marathon

If you can, then please support me as I run the Spire Warrington Half Marathon on 8 September 2013

Just Giving Site: -

I am celebrating my 1 anniversary , now as a permanent member of staff at Spire North Cheshire Hospital and am really enjoying my work with the team there. I have been “volunteered” into this event, happily though!

I have run just one other half marathon before, with my husband Nick, when we ran together in the “Great North Run” in 2011. This was after Nick was diagnosed and had his 1 Bowel Cancer op. We have now had, 2 further sets of Chemo and radio therapy, a further major op last July and this last 6 months, Intravenous Chemo. We are now living on borrowed time, but at the moment, enjoying life together greatly.

I want to run this half marathon for Nick and for Bowel Cancer. If you can, then please sponsor me for a £1 or £2 or whatever you can.

I am training and running a couple of times a week and so far I am up to 5-6 miles, so plenty to go still. I am very much like Nick and enjoy a challenge! So will be ramping up my distance over next few weeks as best I can to ensure I do the 13+ miles on the day.

If you can support us both, then God bless you and thanks. There is so much benefit that can still be done for people like Nick through Bowel Cancer and similar Cancer organisations.

Thanks you so very much

Chris
